Adidas X Mary Katrantzou

Get ready for a sporty chic winter... following on from the exciting news distributed by Alexander Wang, announcing the collaboration with Versace and HM for this autumn/winter. Another fascinating collaboration to hit Adidas subsequent to Topshop is with the uber-cool designer Mary Katrantzou.

The brand disclosed the exciting news via Twitter earlier today and releasing no other information than it will be hitting stores in the midst of winter for November 2014. Katrantzou is famous for her bold, intricate yet dazzling print designs and from the looks of it Adidas are in for a chic treat. The images included are a few favorable pieces from February's A/W fashion week and will sure to keep you anticipating for this November!

"I'm really excited to be working with Adidas on a line of apparel and footwear," Katrantzou said talking to Vogue this morning. "I grew up, like so many other kids around the world, wearing Adidas sneakers and I'm really excited about bringing my vision to such a global brand. They have a fantastic heritage and their ability to innovate in sportswear makes them the perfect partner for us to work with in this market."

Mary has previously worked with Topshop in 2012 and according to Racked, items were sold out in less than 4days (even though Topshop imposed a 1 item per buyer limit!). It seems Adidas may just be focusing more on the ladies now as we learnt that Rita Ora was to design items for Adidas also!

This may just be an Adidas summer by the looks of it..
